Good old-fashioned diet and exercise alone, without the addition of a physical activity tracker, resulted in greater weight loss in adults looking to lose weight. THE STUDY Recent research, conducted at the University of Pittsburg and published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, sought to better understand the impact of wearable technology on weight loss efforts. The study included 470 young men and women between the ages of 18-35, all of whom were in good health but overweight or obese and looking to lose weight.
